Successfully Distributing Medical and Health Products with Headless Drupal Commerce
The Project at a Glance
The schwa-medico group, consisting of nine independent Corporate Sites created by us, aimed to create a flexible and central shop system for their various brands.
Our tasks included consulting, conceptualization, and development as well as providing a Progressive-Decoupled-Drupal architecture.
Through this architecture, the client can independently adjust centrally managed shop features for each frontend. For example, a payment provider like PayPal only needs to be integrated once centrally and can be used in all shops.

Scalability and Maximum Flexibility
Schwa-medico GmbH approached us with a corporate site and a vision to establish a centrally managed, comprehensive, and flexible shop system to easily scale with additional brands.
We currently manage nine international presences with four shop frontends.
The project requirements included a central shop for various brands as well as the design and development of several brand websites.
The biggest challenge was certainly in the shop backend. The following implemented tasks stood out in particular:
- Subscription models with variable durations, pause options, discount offers, and optional dependencies on other products
- Dynamic price adjustments
- Partner programs
- Integration of various international payment providers
- Country-dependent prices and availability
- Reporting tools like invoice and subscription management
